Call for Volunteers - Eastern Riverina Chronicle

Holbrook’s State Emergency Services (SES) unit is in danger of becoming defunct in the next couple of years.

The unit currently has only 14 active members, four of which are over 60-years-old, and is looking to try and bring Holbrook’s younger generation into the fold.

Holbrook SES media officer Rod Peters said the dwindling numbers had been an issue in recent years given the crew’s age.
